Invitation to EC webinar on “COVID-19 vaccination – what you need to know as a health professional” on 10 February from 11:00 to 13:00 CET

COVID-19 vaccination
What you need to know as a health professional
Wednesday 10 February 2021, 11.00 – 13.00 CET, Brussels time

Via its EU Strategy for COVID-19 vaccines, the European Commission has secured access to such vaccines for EU Member States as soon as they become available. Vaccination has now started in countries, with a focus on priority groups such as health professionals. Health professionals have played an invaluable role all the way through the pandemic, and they now play an equally important role in the roll out of vaccines. People seek advice from health professionals when taking decisions about vaccination, and health professionals serve as role models when getting vaccinated themselves. It is therefore important that health professionals have all the information they need to feel confident about COVID-19 vaccines, for their patients and themselves.

To reply to questions and concerns that health professionals might have about COVID-19 vaccines, the EU Health Policy Platform will host a live webinar following this agenda:
– 11.00 – 11.20 The Commission’s work on COVID-19 vaccination and the key role of health professionals
Mr John-F Ryan, Director, Public Health, Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, EuropeanCommission
11.20 –11.40 Safety aspects of COVID-19 vaccination
